Gwen and Christien were married in the chapel at the Domano Renewal Center, in Prince George British Columbia. It is a small chapel, but was perfect for their small and intimate ceremony.
After the ceremony we headed down to Connaught Hill, where we took some photos of the family, the bridal party, and of course the newlyweds.
From there we headed over to Cottonwood Island Park for some more newlywed couple photos. We really wanted to make use of the Nechako river, which flows along the edge of the park. It made an amazing background and location.
We were excited to have the opportunity to photograph their wedding day, and were very happy with the results. This is one of our favorites, and theirs as well:
Our day began when Shauna met Gwen at her house to take some photos, as the beautiful bride was getting ready.
Since it was a smaller ceremony, everyone who attended headed down to Connaught Hill Park after the ceremony. It is one of the more popular Wedding Photography locations in Prince George… for good reason – so many great photo opportunities!
Once we had finished the family and bridal party photos at Connaught Hill Park, we headed over to Cottonwood Island Park with just the Bride and Groom for their Newlywed session:
They were having a lot of fun during the shoot, and wanted to throw some leaves into the air:
As we continued on towards the river, Shauna talked them into some skipping…
As they were walking out on to the gravel bar, we got one of our favorite photos of the day, with their reflections in the water:
Cottonwood Island Park is one of the best Wedding Photography locations in Prince George. So many different opportunities with all the trees, leaves, trails, bridges, and of course the Nechako River.
Overall it was an amazing experience, and we were very happy to have participated in their special day.
