From our latest shoot… a mother and daughter session in Prince George, BC.
It has been a long winter, and bit of a slow period lately, so it was great to do a glamour type of shoot like this, and get the creativity working again. This photo-shoot took place at their house, in front of their nice big windows. We used the flash for some photos, but we tried to utilize the natural light from the windows wherever possible, with a reflector to help out as well.
The main plan going into the shoot was for a variety of mother-daughter and individual photos, with a few family photos as well. Overall the day was a great success, and we are looking forward to more of these types of sessions in the future. Here are some of our favorites:
Feel free to contact us if you would like to book a fun and creative shoot of your own. We have a number of great photography locations in mind within the Prince George Area, and across northern BC. And a number of themed sessions we would like to try. All we need are the models to take part. Hope to hear from you soon!
We first met Melanie at the Storybook Wedding Bridal Expo in January of this year, she liked our work and she called us afterwards to come and take some newborn portraits of her sweet little girl, Leighton (such a pretty name!). We are also looking forward to also shooting their engagement session in the spring and their wedding this fall.
We met with Melanie and Blake at their house in Prince George and took over the living room which was the perfect location for photos, with a nice big window in front of the couch. We had a lot of fun throughout the shoot, posing Leighton with all the different props. Melanie made the amazing angel wings in the first photo – perfect for her little angel…Leighton was very well behaved throughout all the moving and posing. She seemed mesmerized by the shiny lens.
