There are a number of wedding locations in Prince George BC, and we had heard that the Hart Community Centre was one of the best wedding reception venue’s in town. However we had not attended a wedding there until this past weekend. What an amazing sight as you walk through the main doors into the reception hall. There were trees with twinkle lights all around the outer edges of the room, chandeliers and strings of crystals hanging from the ceiling along with sails of tulle and white fabric draped across the entire ceiling! And there was a lounge area with pillows on the side of the room between the Drinks Bar and the Candy Bar.
We were happy with the venue, and it wasn’t even dinner time yet. But we could smell the food outside before we even entered, so we were anxiously awaiting the meal. It was certainly worth waiting for. The wedding buffet dinner was glorious! There was Jack Daniel’s fall-off-the-bone ribs, roast beef, yorkshire pudding, mashed potatoes, perogies (pretty sure they were home-made), a variety of veggies, and a large selection of delicious salads. And then there was the dessert bar. It was about three tables long with more desserts than we have ever seen. We were only guests at our first wedding here, so we didn’t take any photos of the food, but we did take some photos of the decor to share at least.
We have added some photos from our September wedding below, including a few photos of the amazing buffet – that was just as good the second time around! Here’s the link to the full wedding post if you are interested in that as well.
You can click here to view the Hart Community Centre’s Website. They are located on Austin Road in Prince George, BC. This venue books up fast, so much like wedding photography, it is best to book early to ensure your date is available (as soon as you have set your wedding date)

We met Christine & Nathan at the Storybook Bridal Expo back in January. We have been looking forward to their engagement session for a while, and now summer finally decided to show up… just in time.
We met them and their two boys at Ginter’s Park in Prince George BC on a beautiful sunny Friday evening. They wanted to get a few family photos to start their session. After that, the boys played in the trees (and in the ant hills) while we took photos of Christine & Nathan. They were like models… such a happy couple and so easy to work with. Such a sweet, down-to-earth, couple.
As we walked through the park we had a great time discussing their upcoming wedding. Christine & Shauna are both huge fans of Pinterest, and they had a lot of fun discussing her amazing DIY Wedding Plans for their backyard wedding. It’s going to be awesome!
