Desirae & Karl’s Engagement – Smithers BC
As the sun reflected off the blue-green river water, Karl played his guitar and sang the song he wrote just for his fiance Desirae. He had asked her to marry him at that same location (Eddy Park) the year before.
Desirae & Karl’s engagement session took place in Smithers on a sunny Saturday afternoon. They had booked us for the fall date way back in February, and although the leaves didn’t quite cooperate (Fall was running a bit behind this year), the weather couldn’t have been better. We hopped from location to location – sightseeing and work all in one! We started near the Logpile Lodge in Smithers where we found an old dilapidated barn with a view of the mountains. From there we went over to Eddie Park in Telkwa – the site of Karl’s proposal. After that we found a field of grass just as the sun was setting for some magical light. It was so exciting to do a photoshoot in a different town – and Smithers is one of our favorites!
