Nicole & Greg – Invermere BC Wedding
Nicole and Greg were married at the Eagle Ranch Resort located in Invermere, British Columbia. Invermere is such a beautiful location for a wedding – we almost couldn’t believe there was such a perfect little town. Neither of us had been there before so we were excited to do some exploring in a new location. We arrived at the Copper Point Resort in Invermere after a great day of driving with lots of quick photography stops in the beautiful mountain scenery along the Icefields Parkway through Jasper and Banff.
We knew this wedding would be like going to a big family reunion, as we have done family photography sessions for a number of people at the wedding, including the family session where we first met Nicole, Melissa, and their mom Debbie. We had also previously met Greg as a groomsman at a wedding in Prince George, and then both of them again at Mel and Troy’s wedding in Banff a few summers ago. So we weren’t entirely surprised when we started running into people we knew as soon as we arrived at the Copper Point Resort where everyone was staying.
Their wedding took place on the most perfect fall day you could imagine. The temperature was just right, not too hot, and the sun was shining. The guys and girls were both getting ready in different wings of the Copper Point Resort, so there were lots of laughs with family stopping by throughout the morning.

Before long it was time to head over to the Eagle Ranch Resort – what a spectacular location for a wedding! It is situated on top of a cliff above the river with Windermere Lake in the distance, plus 360 degree views of the mountains on either side of the Columbia River Valley. Our day began at the Eagle Ranch Resort with their First Look Session. Nicole & Greg were so happy see each other, some of our favourite photos from the entire wedding day. So much emotion and excitement!
After the first look we took some more photos of the happy couple, and then the bridal party arrived for some group photos along with some of the girls and the guys. What a spectacular location for wedding photography!
Their ceremony took place overlooking Windermere Lake and the town of Invermere. It’s one of the most incredible views we have seen during a wedding ceremony. The Eagle Ranch Resort is definitely one of our new favourite wedding photography venues, as there is a photo-shoot waiting to happen in every direction!
Their wedding reception took place at the golf course clubhouse. The food was fantastic, the drinks were flowing, the speeches were full of so much happiness and emotion. And the dancing that night was pretty epic. The dance floor was packed and tequila was taking effect – ties were coming off, and there was even a group serenade to the couple with the song ‘Dont Stop Believin’
Since it had been clear all day we were really hoping the clear skies would continue after dark. We took a look outside and were super excited to see a sky full of stars. Nicole and Greg came outside and try a few night photos with the Milky Way. Here is the result – one of our favourite photos that we have ever taken… what a breathtaking sight it was!
The next day at breakfast Debbie (Nicole & Melissa’s mom) said she was sorry she didn’t have any more daughters for us to photograph, which is one of the best compliments we could hope for. We were sad to leave such an amazing group of people, but headed back to Prince George with another lots of great memories and so many fantastic photos to share. Hopefully you had as much fun reading this blog post as we had during this wedding. It brings back so many great memories for us, and I’m sure it will do the same for those who attended the wedding.
