About

Northern Pixel Photography- Prince George Wedding Photographers

Hello, we are Dan & Shauna Stanyer, a husband & wife team of professional wedding and portrait photographers based in Prince George, British Columbia.

We work together as a team, so all of our weddings and sessions include two photographers to capture more angles, poses, viewpoints, and of course those candid moments that happen throughout the day. Our individual styles complement each other seamlessly, and many clients have said that we seem to read each other’s minds. We create artistic, romantic, dramatic, and flattering images of our clients that really capture the beauty of their relationships.

Dan has always loved anything and everything to do with the outdoors – whether it’s swimming or fishing at one of the local lakes, hiking through the forest in search of the best blueberry/huckleberry patches he can find, or just driving the backroads looking for new and exciting photo-session locations. He also loves the night sky and astronomy… taking photos of the stars, the moon, and especially the northern lights.

Shauna has always been a creative soul – making things like beaded jewellry, painting, crafting, sewing and scrapbooking. Her love of photography started in the high-school dark room where she used an old film camera to create black & white images. She loves anything from the art deco and art nouveau era’s, and collects antique rhinestone jewellery and vintage wedding gowns & dresses from the 30’s/40’s/50’s – which sometimes make an appearance in our styled photo sessions. She also loves to cook and try new recipes and restaurants. When not editing photos, she can be found relaxing at home curled up with her two kitties (Cooper & Toffee) while reading business books or fashion magazines like Vogue, Bazaar, Fashion, and W.

All of our individual interests have helped us to create Northern Pixel Photography as a reflection of our combined personalities. We have photographed over 45 weddings, which has given us a tremendous amount of knowledge and experience in dealing with anything and everything that can come up on a wedding day. We love getting to know each of our clients, and working together to build a trusting relationship that helps us with making everyone look their best.

Thanks for visiting our site and for wanting to know a bit more about us. If you want more information about our photography services and what we do, you can check out our Frequently Asked Questions Page, our Wedding Information Page, or fill out our Contact Page.

  14. Thank you for calling past my Photo Morsels blog. Always keen to see interest from visitors from the other side of the world. Right now, we are probably at our annual climatic extremes – my home town is in the second day of about five days around the 42-43C temperature. As you could imagine, I don’t get to do a lot of snow and ice photography! I have collected quite a few Pentax lens using the internet to source them. My 100mm macro lens came from somewhere up your way – Terrace rings a bell.
