Engagement Session – Prince George BC
Megan and Garrett’s summer engagement session began at Cottonwood Island Park, before we headed up to a farm not far from where their wedding will take place later this summer in Prince George, B.C. They even brought their adorable pup along for a few pics at the park. It was an evening full of laughter, spinning, and dancing in a hay field full of yellow buttercups. Here are a few photos from their session:

Maternity Session – Vanderhoof BC
We first met Ashley & Chris a few years back at the Storybook Bridal Expo, where they were the winners of our Engagement Session Draw. We had a lot of fun during their session at Wilkin’s Park, and were excited to hear that their first little one was on the way. For their Maternity Session we met them at Riverside Park in Vanderhoof along the shore of the Nechako River. Once again everything came together perfectly for the photoshoot. We were a bit worried on the drive to Vanderhoof, as it was raining almost the entire way. But then the skies opened up and the sun came out just as we arrived. Before long it was time to head out to our second location – an amazing vegetable farm where they were married. This place was spectacular… so many fantastic photo opportunities. We had a great time with the ivy covered barn, before taking advantage of the beautiful light as the sun began to set. Shauna made the dress once again for this session, and it worked even better than we had hoped to capture the sunlight. Here are some of our favourites from their amazing Maternity Session in Vanderhoof BC:

Jaclyn & Ethan’s Wedding – Prince George BC
Jaclyn & Ethan had the perfect wedding day in June- even with some rain showers, they didn’t let it affect their happiness- and a beautiful rainbow even appeared during the newlywed photo session! The wedding took place in Prince George, BC – and it was one of the funnest, craziest, unique weddings we have been a part of. There was lots of laughter and many pinterest-inspired details like gourmet pizzas & Jones Soda for dinner, a candy bar, a pinata, choreographed dancing throughout the day, and epic location for photos, and of course, the much-loved couple themselves, Jaclyn & Ethan!
The girls enjoyed pedicures at the Core Salon before having their hair and makeup done. The guys day began the day with a few rounds of paintball in the morning, and then Ethan’s mom and dad went to pick up their friend’s beautiful 1965 Black Mustang convertible. So of course we took it out for a drive and took a few photos at Paddlewheel Park. What a great start to the day!
The wedding ceremony took place at the Gateway Christian Ministries Church, and was unlike anything we have seen before. Jaclyn is a dancer and choreographed the entire ceremony. All of the bridal party and even the groom were leaping, somersault rolling and dancing down the aisle to David Guetta’s song “Without You”. There were people coming from different doors and all directions. Then they all met up on the stage and did a dance together.
After the ceremony we headed out to the most beautiful location for the bridal party and newlywed photos. Jaclyn’s friend has a property complete with a gorgeous hay barn, a field of long green grass that sparkled in the light, and some moody dark clouds from the rainstorm. What a spectacular location for wedding photos. The skies even began to clear up enough for the sun to come out – and then a rainbow appeared! The day just kept getting better and better…
It was hard to leave such a beautiful field and barn behind (we could’ve taken photos there forever!), but it was time to head down to the wedding reception at the Skylight Room in the Ramada Prince George. Their wedding had a fun vintage carnival theme… so there were stand-up cocktail tables, a vintage candy bar, Jones Sodas, Pizza & a Salad bar for dinner, and even a candy-filled pinata! After dinner, the dancing began. This group was crazy! The dance floor was packed all night with everyone out on the dance floor having a great time. But before long the bride and groom had to go – they had an early flight to Hawaii the next morning for their honeymoon.
Congratulations once again to Jaclyn & Ethan. Such a fun wedding day with an amazing couple. And what a way to start to our 2013 Wedding Season. We are really looking forward to working with them again in the future… and hearing about their trip to Hawaii. Feel free to leave a comment below to congratulate the happy couple.
And we still have a few open dates this summer as well, and have already started booking into 2014, so let us know if you would like Northern Pixel Photography to photograph your own wedding day.

Jaclyn & Ethan – Prince George BC Wedding
Jaclyn & Ethan had an amazing wedding day in Prince George BC that included paintball for the guys and the spa for the girls, a vintage 65 Mustang, a unique choreographed dance ceremony, and an epic newlywed session at the farm with a barn, a field, and even a rainbow! Janelle & Dan’s Wedding
Janelle & Dan were married on a beautiful and hot September day at the family farm in the Blackburn area of Prince George, BC. Their farm wedding was a contrast to their engagement session we did back in June.
Janelle had a lot of great DIY wedding ideas for her wedding – our favorite was the hay bale benches. The guys arrived on an old Mercury Pickup, while Janelle and her father arrived in a 1926 Model T Ford. What a great way to start things off! After the ceremony we did some family and bridal party photos at the farm, before heading over for some newlywed photos on the way to their wedding reception at the Blackburn Hall. What a great day!
Congratulations once again to Janelle & Dan!
