Winter Engagement Photo Session – Prince George BC
We first met David while photographing his sister Jenna’s wedding in Smithers BC, so were very excited to hear that he was now getting married as well and wanted us to photograph their wedding too. David & Natasha asked for a winter engagement session. We had to wait a while this year but the weather finally cooperated enough on a weekend when they would be in Prince George. It was snowing throughout their session so we had lots of fun playing in the snow and enjoying the beautiful winter day. Here are some of our favourite photos from their session.
Congratulations once again to David & Natasha on their engagement! We are looking forward to their beautiful wedding coming up in Smithers British Columbia later this summer. Winter Engagement Session – Prince George BC
Chris & Michelle got engaged last year on their trip to Hawaii (check out the gorgeous amethyst ring!), and contacted us soon after about photographing their wedding. On a sunny Sunday, we met them at a lake out west of Prince George. It was a bit chilly with the wind, but they managed to keep warm while sipping hot cocoa and snuggling next to the campfire, complete with heart-shaped marshmallows.
Here are a few of our favourite images from their engagement session:
Congratulations to Chris & Michelle on their engagement. Can’t wait until their wedding this summer!

Colette & Kevin’s Winter Wonderland Wedding – Prince George BC
Kevin & Colette were married on a chilly but beautiful January day in Prince George BC. There was a fresh snowfall the day before the wedding (perfect timing & a big relief after the slushy messy the week prior!). As we were driving up to the forest that morning, we were amazed at what a stunning winter wonderland it was. The background of clear blue sky and white tipped trees was the perfect setting for their First Look Session. At their First Look session, we did some couple portraits and we could see Kevin & Colette were bursting with so much happiness and love!
Before long it was time for the bridal party to join us for a few photos, and then it was back to the Prince George Civic Centre for the ceremony. The ceremony backdrop was designed by Colette’s longtime friend from Art Knapp’s Plantland. It looked amazing and fit perfectly with their winter theme. And we gotta love a groom that runs out to buy lower wattage bulbs when he sees they are a bit too bright at the ceremony rehearsal.
The ceremony was short but emotional – they wrote their own vows which had everyone laughing and crying. From there everyone headed upstairs for cocktail hour. Since all the formal photos were completed before the ceremony they had lots of time to mingle with their family & friends while dinner was being prepared. As with the rest of the day the speeches were emotional & happy.
Going through the photos you could really see the love their family & friends have for them. Small weddings are so amazing and provide a great opportunity to get to know everyone who is there, see their relationship to newlyweds, while also allowing more time for the bride & groom to chat with every guest.
Here are some of our favorite photos taken throughout their wedding day…
Congratulations once again to Kevin & Colette! What a beautiful wedding day with so much happiness and love!

Winter Family Photos – Prince George BC
Angela and Grayden wanted some winter family photos with the kids, but Angela said she would rather chew off an arm than do a traditional studio session. They wanted something that captured their family playing, having fun, and just being themselves. We met them at a co-worker’s farm on Nukko Lake on a sunny winter day. They brought their snowshoes and the family dog and had a great time playing in the snow.

Winter Family Photos
This family photo session took place on a beautiful winter day at Cottonwood Island Park in Prince George BC. We took some photos at the bridge, and then grandma and grandpa headed down the trail for a walk, before they headed out to breakfast for their grandma’s 75th birthday. Such a great day to be out and about!

Marissa & Peter – Engagement Session
Marissa recently got a new job and needed some new headshots. She also happens to be engaged to Peter and wanted to combine the sessions. So we met them at UNBC and headed over to Forests For The World to enjoy the trails and the snow on a bright sunny winter day.
